After completing his vocational training as a carpenter, the man initially went traveling for a year. During this time, he became ill with cancer. After successful treatment, he looked for a new job as a carpenter. The joinery where he had undergone vocational training was willing to take him on again.Workplace and work task:
Previously, a lot of painting work had to be outsourced to other companies. In order to change this and at the same time create a workplace for the hired carpenter, a spraying and painting room with a spraying device and a spray wall that directly absorbs the pollutants produced was set up in an extension to the joinery. A room air renewal system was also installed to prevent further exposure to pollutants. The work task also requires little effort. For the newly created workplace or extension and the installation of the spray room, the carpentry workshop received a grant of 50% and an interest-free loan of 30% of the total costs from the Integration and Inclusion Office, as this gives the company an economic advantage that must be taken into account. Advice on work design was provided by the Technical Advisory Service of the Integration and Inclusion Office.The company also received an integration subsidy from the employment agency as a wage cost subsidy for the first two years after being hired.
