Disability and functional limitation:
The man has a chronic inflammatory illness of the central nervous system (multiple sclerosis) with a pronounced walking disability and impairment of fine motor skills. His hands tremble severely so that it is not possible for him to do written work.
Training and job:
The man is undergoing training as an office administrator.
Examination modifier:
The examinee is motivated, socially integrated and his intellectual abilities are well developed. His cooperation and achievements in vocational training to date confirm that he is readily capable of solving the tasks of vocational training satisfactorily to very well. He could therefore pass the final examination with good success.
To ensure equal opportunities and to compensate for disadvantages, the examination board of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) allowed the trainee to read and process the examination papers directly on the computer. For this purpose, he was granted a 10 percent extension of the examination time due to his handicap.
